Join a friendly introduction to the art of linocut printmaking!
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to transfer your designs onto a lino block, carve your block safely, and ink and print your creations. During the session, you’ll work on two projects: a mini mark-making block to get you started, and a larger 10cm x 15cm block to refine your skills.
You’ll go home with your two lino blocks and multiple copies of your artworks.
All printmaking equipment is provided. Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
Printmaking can be an inky business, so do bring an apron or wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy!
This workshop is designed for adults, but students aged 16+ are welcome to join, provided they are accompanied by an adult.

ALFIE WINTERS
Join us for an intensive artist residency experience where you will, research, experiment, make and then install your artwork in the brand new Hadleigh Gallery.
Starting at 10 o’clock at HOFS’ Art House, we will begin our impromptu, DIY artist residency using familiar and accessible equipment to research and gather information of the local area. We will experiment with ways of art-making we may not have used before, yet using equipment we see and may use everyday. We will work intensely to get the art work done up until 12 o’clock where we will then break bread together, please bring a packed lunch 🙂 Then, once we are recharged, we will march down Hadleigh high street to the all new Hadleigh Gallery, located next to Plant Faced Coffee Shop, where we will begin to install the work we have made and admire not only the art we’ve made, but the amazing yet snappy journey it took us to get the work done!
Then once the work has been admired we’d like to invite everyone next door to Plant Faced Coffee Shop for a self paid optional coffee/lunch/snack at the wonderful cafe next door.
