Fine Art and Documentary Photographer
Nicola is a fine art and documentary photographer. Her work often involves people and their connections to their natural environment with an emphasis on the restorative elements of the natural world. She works digitally and enjoys exploring manipulations such as double exposure and motion blur to create mood and abstraction. Her documentary photography has allowed her to explore her fascination with people in greater depth, most recently focusing on projects close to home touching on mental health and life stories. She is currently working on a book of portraits of Essex poets for Shutter Hub Editions.
